What You Want to Know About Audi e-tron Tesla Adaptors

Starting September 9, 2025, select Audi e-tron models can tap into more than 23,500 Tesla Supercharger stalls nationwide.

That means fewer worries about where to plug in, and more freedom to just drive.

How It Works

• Find Chargers Easily
  Supercharger locations will appear right inside your Audi MMI navigation and the myAudi app.
  
  
• Use a Certified Adapter
  To connect at Tesla Superchargers, you’ll need the new Audi NACS DC Charging Adapter. This adapter is UL2252 certified and built specifically for your Audi EV.
  
  
• Start Charging in the Tesla App
  Once you’re plugged in, simply open the Tesla app to initiate charging at approved “NACS Partner Sites.”
  
  

Which Models Are First?

Starting this month, new Audi Q6 e-tron, A6 e-tron, and e-tron GT models arriving from port will include the adapter as a port-installed accessory.

• These models have been fully tested for safe compatibility.
  
• Using the adapter with other Audi models, including the Q4 e-tron, has not yet been approved and could pose risks or void warranty coverage.
  
  

Audi is expanding compatibility over time, so if you own another e-tron model, stay tuned for updates.

Where You Can Charge

• Tesla Superchargers: 23,500+ stalls nationwide, marked as “NACS Partner Sites.”
• Electrify America: 5,000+ stalls still fully available, plus any remaining complimentary charging credits you may have.
• Other NACS DC Fast Chargers: The adapter also works with compatible third-party networks (Electrify America included).
  
  

⚠️ Note: The adapter does not work with Level 1 or Level 2 NACS chargers, such as Tesla home chargers or Destination Chargers.

For now, just remember:

• If you’re driving a new Q6 e-tron, A6 e-tron, or e-tron GT, you’re first in line.
  Your myAudi app and in-car navigation will guide you to compatible stations.
• Electrify America remains a core charging partner, with plug-and-charge simplicity for supported models.
• The Audi Q4 e-tron is not currently able to utilize the Audi NACS DC Charging Adapter or the Tesla NACS Partner Supercharger network. Integration of additional myAudi app charging functionality and updates on Q4 e-tron compatibility are subject to a future announcement.
